ABOUT THE PARADISE SINGERS
The singers represent the multi-ethnicity of our population, ages, and walks of life. The choir's primary mission is to share the Spirit of Aloha in the performance of multicultural choral music from a vast spectrum of cultures, languages, and historical periods, with particular attention given to performances of repertoire of Hawaiian Mele and Hula.

ABOUT ROBERT PETERS:
The founder and director of the Paradise Park Singers is Robert Peters
Robert was a former Punahou, Kamehameha, and Nanakuli High School choral director. His Punahou School choral, vocal, and dramatic programs were well thought of and highly regarded. His Punahou Hui Le'a Nani Singers were most noted for their prominence and excellence in their performance of Hawaiian Mele. He is a former director of the Honolulu Chorale, and founder and former director of the Waikiki Singers. He is the Operational Director of the Paradise Park Hawaiian Cultural Program.

Singers Wanted
Singers and Halau Hula Wahine and Kane are invited to join the PARADISE SINGERS. Click the blog BECOME A MEMBER for details. Once Oahu moves to Tier V or the New Normal stage! you will be notified of our first rehearsal date. Preceding the rehearsal, at 6:00, a complimentary Bento dinner, courtesy of Blue Water Shrimp and Seafood, will be served to all attendees. At 7:00 pm, our first rehearsal will commence.
Upcoming Events Fall 2021 Season

The first rehearsal will begin on the first Wednesday after COVID 19 restrictions move to Tier V or the New Normal Stage.
Month of July: Rehearsals begin
Month of October: Grand Opening Concert, Makahiki Festival
Month of December: Christmas Concert
Community performances, e.g. Waikiki hotels, service organizations, Queen's and Straub hospitals, Sr. Care Center Homes, etc

Our sponsor, founded and operated the first of many MAGOOS PIZZA restaurants in Honolulu. He also established the first Blue Water Shrimp Truck in Kahuku, in 2005. Today , the brands has grown and increased to more than 10 trucks total.
He has also owns and operates a brick and mortar restaurant at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in the Rainbow Bazar.

The Wong Family, owners of Paradise Park, are supporting Mr. Sakaguchi and Peters proposal to turn the former botanical and zoological garden into a Hawaiian cultural center for music, hula and the arts.
